Snowdrops

Snowdrops, you sometimes see them as early as January! To me, they symbolize the transition from winter to spring. I came across this bed of snowdrops during one of my walks. I would like to lie in it! It invited me to write a number of Haiku, which you can read separately or together as one poem.

Snowdrops

Fragile powerful
a gentle awakening
so brave in the cold

Little white kisses
lovingly awaken you
from your winter sleep

A light sparkling green
refreshing dewdrops
like a fresh shower

So small and brave
heralding the Spring to come
she brings us the light
